Team India’s dashing batsman Virat Kohli and former Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam are often compared. Cricket pundits are also seen making statements about these two players. At the same time, recently Pakistani player Fakhar Zaman claimed that even if Virat Kohli was not in form, he would have been given a place in the team. In such a situation, now Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin gave a befitting reply to him and said that Virat Kohli and Babar Azam should not be discussed together.

Actually, the Pakistan Cricket Board showed Babar Azam the way out of the team for the two Test matches against England, after which Fakhar Zaman supported him and said that if Virat Kohli was there, he would have been included in the team despite poor form. In such a situation, while discussing this topic on his YouTube channel, Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin claimed that Babar Azam and Virat Kohli should not be compared. He said,

“Surely if he is given a chance, he will score runs. If he has class then it is fine. I think we should end this debate once and for all. First of all, Babar Azam and Virat Kohli should not be discussed in the same line.”

Ravichandran Ashwin has said that if anyone is close to Virat in Test cricket, it is Joe Root. He said,

“I am very sorry. I really rate Babar Azam as an excellent player, but Virat Kohli’s achievements are something else. In all departments and pressure situations, what he has done is something that no one has done in world cricket. As far as I know, if anyone is close to him in Test cricket at the moment, it is Joe Root.”

It is worth noting that the selectors of Pakistan dropped Babar Azam, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi from the team for the last two matches of the three-match Test series against England. The performance of both these players was shameful in the first match. Babar Azam was out after scoring 30 runs in the first innings and 5 runs in the second innings.

Let us tell you that he has not been able to score a single century or half-century since the year 2022. At the same time, if we talk about Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi, then both of them failed to spread their magic in bowling.
