Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also failed to shine in the ongoing Boxing Day Test match in Melbourne, due to which they had to face the anger of Indian fans on social media.

The last day of the Boxing Day Test match, which started last Thursday, is being played on 30 December. In this ongoing clash at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the players of both teams have performed impressively, due to which this match has reached the verge of a draw. However, in the meantime, the poor batting of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma has caused a lot of grief to Indian cricket fans. After Adelaide and Gabba, both the giants failed to play big innings in Melbourne as well. Batting on the fifth day of the game on Monday, captain Rohit Sharma returned to the pavilion after scoring nine runs in 40 balls. 

Rohit Sharma flopped 

After Rohit Sharma, former captain Virat Kohli‘s bat also failed. Fast bowler Mitchell Starc got him out at the hands of Usman Khawaja. He could score only 5 runs in 29 balls. If we talk about the performance of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, then both these batsmen have scored 167 runs and 31 runs respectively so far. At the same time, their flop batting in Melbourne has raised the anger of Indian fans, which has caused both batsmen to face a lot of criticism on social media.
