In the fourth match played against South Africa , Indian young batsman Tilak Verma’s bat roared fiercely. He thrashed the host team’s bowlers and hit a flurry of sixes and fours. He looked brilliant while batting at number three. On one hand, while he impressed everyone with his performance, on the other hand, Hardik Pandya failed to play a good innings. In such a situation, fans ridiculed him a lot on social media. On the basis of Tilak Verma’s brilliant innings, India gave the Proteas team a target of 219 runs.

Tilak Verma played a stormy innings

The second match of the four-match T20 series between India and South Africa was played at the Supersport Park Cricket Stadium in Centurion. After winning the toss, captain Aiden Markram invited Suryakumar Yadav and company to bat first. The team lost opener Sanju Samson as the first wicket. He returned to the pavilion without opening the account. In such a situation, Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Verma took the responsibility and made a century partnership of 107 runs for the second wicket. Keshav Maharaj ended this partnership by dismissing Abhishek Sharma.

Hardik Pandya’s bat remained silent

Even after Abhishek Sharma’s wicket fell, Tilak Verma remained at the crease and continued to score runs. During this, he also scored the first century of his T20 International cricket career. Scoring runs at a strike rate of 200, he played an innings of 107 runs in 56 balls, which included 7 sixes and 8 fours.

While fans were happy with Tilak Verma ‘s explosive batting, Hardik Pandya had to face trolling. Actually, he lost his wicket due to wrong shot selection on Keshav Maharaj’s ball in the 12.5th over. He scored just 18 runs in just 16 balls at a strike rate of 112.
