Team India:

The last match of the three-match Test series between
India and New Zealand (IND vs NZ) also went in the favour of the visiting team. New Zealand has clean swept Team India in this series by winning by 25 runs at Mumbai’s Wankhede ground. New Zealand became the first team to clean sweep India in a Test series at home. The way Indian batsmen bowled against spin on the Wankhede pitch, it seemed as if the batsmen have forgotten how to play spin. After this humiliating defeat, questions have started being raised on a player who was Team India’s hero in the Bengaluru Test. There is even talk of dropping him from the Border –
Gavaskar Trophy .

Sarfaraz Khan failed in five innings

Sarfaraz Khan was included in the Indian team in place of KL Rahul . But his bat did not perform well in all the three matches against New Zealand. If we exclude the 150 runs in the second innings of the Bengaluru Test, Sarfaraz was a complete flop in all five innings. He scored 11 runs in the first innings of the Pune Test and 9 runs in the second innings. Talking about the Mumbai Test, he could score zero runs in the first innings and just one run in the second innings. He could not even open his account in the first innings of the Bengaluru Test.

With the end of the test series against New Zealand, Sarfaraz Khan has registered a shameful record. Sarfaraz Khan was able to score only 171 runs in 6 innings at an average of 28.50 in the test series against New Zealand . After South Africa’s Gary Kirsten, he has become the second batsman to flop badly after scoring 150 runs. Let us tell you that Kirsten scored only 250 runs at an average of 25 in the five-match series against West Indies , in which his highest score was 150 runs.

After this performance against New Zealand, questions have started being raised about Sarfaraz Khan’s playing in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. His weakness against fast bowlers was already exposed, now his technique against spin is also being exposed. In such a situation, it will not be easy for Sarfaraz to make it to the playing 11 on the Australian tour.
