The Indian team is busy practicing before the start of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 (BGT 2024-25). The players sweated it out during nets practice at the WACA. Meanwhile, reports of veteran batsman KL Rahul being injured have also surfaced. According to media reports, he injured his right elbow while practicing batting.

After this, he was seen writhing in pain and was taken for examination. However, no update has come out regarding his scan report yet. In such a situation, it is being speculated that if KL Rahul is not able to get fit before the Perth Test, then young batsman Ishan Kishan may enter the team in his place.

Gautam Gambhir will make him return!

It has been many months since Ishan Kishan was away from India. He played his last match for India in November last year. He withdrew his name from the Test series against South Africa in 2023-24 citing mental health. After this, when he was asked to play domestic cricket, he ignored it and started preparing for IPL 2024. Due to this, Jai Shah dropped Ishan Kishan from the central contract list and the team. However, now Gautam Gambhir can bring him back by including him in the Australia tour (BGT 2024-25).

How many test matches have been played for India

Ishan Kishan has not got many opportunities in Test cricket. He played two matches for India, in which he scored 78 runs in three innings with the help of a half-century. During this, his average was 78. Recently, while playing in domestic tournaments, he was also seen in great form. He has impressed everyone with his batting in Ranji Trophy, Buchi Babu Tournament, Irani Cup and Dilip Trophy.
