In January next year, the Indian team is going to play a five-match T20 series against England . This series will be held from 22 January to 2 February. But before that, a big update has come about the experienced wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul. Actually, for some time now, he has been disappointing everyone with his flop batting.

He has not scored a century since December 2023. He also failed to perform well in the Test series played against Bangladesh at home. In such a situation, it is being claimed that he may be removed from T20 cricket forever.

This player may get a chance

KL Rahul has not got a place in the T20 team for a long time. He played his last T20 International match in the year 2022. Indian selectors are ignoring him to give chance to young players. In such a situation, young batsman Ishan Kishan can be selected in the T20 team in his place.

This batsman, who has been out of Team India for the last one year, has staked a claim for a comeback by performing brilliantly in domestic cricket. Ishan Kishan took a break from cricket after December 2023 citing mental fatigue, which cost him dearly. But seeing his brilliant comeback, Gautam Gambhir can bring him back to Team India again.

He is facing punishment for ignoring BCCI’s orders

After the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, Ishan Kishan was selected for the South Africa tour. But he had to warm the bench during the T20 series. After this, in Test cricket, Team India management decided to give priority to KL Rahul before him. Disappointed by this, Ishan Kishan sought a break from BCCI citing mental fatigue and withdrew his name from the Test series.

However, during this time he participated in television shows and events, after which the BCCI ordered Ishan Kishan to play domestic cricket. But he ignored this and started preparing for the IPL. As a result, Jai Shah dropped him from the team along with the central contract.
