The Champions Trophy 2025 is going to start in Pakistan on February 19. The Indian team is going to play all its matches outside Pakistan in Dubai. After losing the Border Gavaskar Trophy, there seems to be a lot of pressure on Team India for this tournament as well.
Questions are being raised on the performance of Shubman Gill and he may be dropped from the Champions Trophy 2025. A player seems fully prepared to take his place who has scored runs at an average of 53 and bats brilliantly in the opening over. Let us tell you about this player who will be a part of Team India in the Champions Trophy…
Shubman Gill is out of Champions Trophy 2025!
Shubman Gill is an emerging batsman of Team India, he has consistently performed brilliantly for Team India in One-Day Internationals. But he may be seen being dropped from the Champions Trophy 2025. Yashasvi Jaiswal in his team may get a chance to debut in Team India’s one-day team. Jaiswal has been performing brilliantly for Team India in Tests and T20s, while he has also shown excellent performance in List A.
Jaiswal will enter the one-day team!

Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing as an opening batsman in Team India. He has made his debut for India in Test and T20 teams, while he can be seen making his debut in ODI from Champions Trophy 2025. He has been the highest run-scorer for India in the year 2024. He has also been the highest run-scorer for India in the recently held Border Gavaskar Trophy. In List A, he has scored 1511 runs in 32 innings, in which his average has been 53.96.
Jaiswal will open with Rohit
Looking at the excellent performance of Yashasvi Jaiswal, it seems that he can be seen opening with Rohit Sharma in the Champions Trophy 2025. If this happens, then Shubman Gill will have to sit out of the playing 11 because he will not be able to find a place in Team India. Virat Kohli is fixed at number three and after this Gill also cannot bat in the lower order. So if Jaiswal enters, then Gill’s exit is considered certain.
