Before leaving for Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Team India played a three-match ODI series against England, in which the players performed brilliantly and won 3-0. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill broke the back of England’s bowling order with his stormy batting. He was the first batsman to score the most runs in the series. Now he has got the reward for his performance. In fact, on Wednesday, the ICC released the latest ODI rankings, in which Shubman Gill got a big benefit. 

Babar Azam left behind 

Shubman Gill has reached the top-1 position in the new ICC ODI rankings. He captured this position by defeating former Pakistan captain Babar Azam. Before the IND vs ENG ODI series, he was in second place. After this, he wore the number-1 crown by performing brilliantly against England. Captain Rohit Sharma is the owner of the third position in the ranking. If we talk about the ranking of all-rounders in ODIs, then Pakistani player Salman Agha has made a big leap in it.

Salman Agha has jumped 23 places to occupy the 15th position. Apart from him, Ireland’s Curtis Campher has jumped 13 places. He has moved to the 11th position. Talking about the top-1, it is occupied by Afghanistan’s all-rounder Mohammad Nabi. Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan has also come to the 15th position in the batting rankings. Earlier he was in the 21st position. Apart from Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer has also benefited in the batting rankings. He has entered the top-10. He reached the ninth position by shining with the bat in the  IND vs ENG series.
