A befitting reply on retirement
Regular captain Rohit Sharma said in an interview with the broadcaster during the lunch break that,
“Those sitting outside with laptops and pens and paper cannot decide about my future in Test cricket, as to when I will retire or not. This decision has to be taken by me. Neither can those sitting outside.”
Rohit also made it clear that he is only sitting out for this match because his form is not what he was expecting, but he is not thinking about retirement at the moment.
People will not decide what my future will be like- Rohit Sharma
Captain Rohit Sharma came out in the open on Star Sports and said I am not going away from this game. I have decided to stay away from the Sydney Test because I am not able to score runs but there is no guarantee that I will be able to score runs in the coming 4-5 months or not. I have played a lot of cricket in my career. Here your life changes every minute, every second. Rohit warned the people and said that those who are writing in the commentary box or with a laptop in their hand cannot make any kind of decision on their career or life.
