India won a total of 48 medals in the last two editions of the Paralympics. Whereas in the previous 11 editions, India had won only 12 medals. It can be clearly seen that a lot of improvement and change has been seen in the last two editions.
Before Paris, 54 Indian athletes had participated in the Tokyo Paralympics, which was the largest contingent at that time. Then in the Paris Paralympics, this contingent of India grew even bigger.
