Only 3 batsmen of the team could touch the double digit figure and Charles Amini scored the most runs. He played an innings of 17 runs in 25 balls. When New Zealand came out to chase the target, Finn Allen and Rachin Ravindra were out early, but Devon Conway played an important innings of 35 runs in 32 balls.

This was the last match of New Zealand cricketer Trent Bolt in international cricket. In his last match, he took 2 wickets for 14 runs in 4 overs. After the end of New Zealand’s innings, Bolt said that playing for the country has always been a matter of pride for him. He said that this is the last match of his career.

He also described his friendship with Tim Southee and playing with him for 12 years as an honour. Bolt looked disappointed that his team could not reach the next stage of the World Cup.
