21-year-old Nitish Kumar Reddy has impressed everyone in this series so far. Nitish, who made his debut in the Perth Test, has been very good in batting and bowling so far. But now he may be replaced by off-spinner Washington Sundar, who plays domestic cricket for Tamil Nadu, in the fourth Test.

According to media reports, the heat in Melbourne is going to be very high due to which cracks will be seen on the pitch, in such a situation spinners can dominate there. This is the reason why Washington Sundar can be included in the final eleven in place of Reddy.

Reddy did not get opportunities in bowling

Nitish Kumar Reddy, who plays domestic competitions from Andhra, impressed a lot with his batting as well as bowling in the Indian Premier League 2024. After this, he got a chance to debut for Team India in the Perth Test. Reddy played many brilliant innings along with the tail-enders and is the third-highest run-scorer for India in this series.

Unlike batting, he has not been able to make much impact in bowling so far. Reddy has bowled 27 overs against Australia, in which he has taken three wickets. During this time he has also conceded runs at an expensive economy rate of 4.55 in the Test. This could be the only reason for him being dropped from the Melbourne Test.

Sundar has shown his strength in batting

Earlier, Sundar impressed a lot with his bowling in the Perth Test. He has played only one match in this series so far, in which he got two wickets.
