Neeraj was placed in Group B, where he qualified for the final by throwing the javelin 89.34 meters in his very first attempt. Neeraj Chopra’s best throw this season was 88.36 meters, which he achieved in the Doha Diamond League 2024. At least 12 athletes qualify for the final of the javelin throw competition. A total of 7 athletes have made it directly to the final by crossing the 84 meter mark in the qualification round. After these 7 athletes, the five athletes with the best throw will enter the final. Neeraj Chopra will now be seen in action in the final on August 8 for the gold medal.
