Millions of his fans wait for IPL to see both of them in action, he said goodbye to international cricket in 2020, in which he is seen making a splash in the jersey of Chennai Super Kings. Last season, the news of his retirement from IPL caught fire. Now speculations are being made about his retirement even before the upcoming IPL season. Meanwhile, one of his T-shirts increased the heartbeat of the fans.

Mahi’s fans want to see their hero playing in the IPL. However, a time will come when he will say goodbye to IPL. Now before the upcoming IPL season, MS Dhoni reached Chennai on Wednesday to join the Chennai Super Kings camp. Fans’ heartbeats increased when a code was seen on Dhoni’s T-shirt, which has increased the speculation about his retirement.

On reaching Chennai on 26 February, Dhoni’s T-shirt was seen with ‘One last time’ written on it. However, it was not written in clear words but in a code, which when decoded created a stir on social media. 

Dhoni recently spoke ahead of IPL 2025 about what motivates him to keep moving forward in the IPL even at the age of 43. The former Chennai Super Kings captain, who has won the IPL title 5 times, said that he has to work at least 6-8 months a year to be ready for two months of IPL.

At a promotional event in Chennai, Dhoni said, ‘For me, my biggest motivation was to contribute to India’s victory. Now that I have retired from international cricket, I cannot say that it is the same as before, but for me now, it is the love of the game.’ Dhoni will turn 44 in July 2025, but the former captain has maintained his fitness level. Dhoni will be seen playing in the IPL starting March 22. In IPL 2024, Dhoni took part in all 14 matches for Chennai Super Kings and scored 161 runs at an extraordinary strike rate of 220.
