Less than 48 hours are left for the start of the Boxing Day Test match to be played between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) from 26 December. Both teams will face each other at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne. But before that big news has come out about the 19-year-old young player. Australia’s opening pair has failed to perform well in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Nathan McSween, who made his debut in Perth, remained silent in the last match, due to which he has been dropped from the last two matches.

Head coach revealed

Cricket Australia has dropped Nathan McSweeney and included 19-year-old young batsman Sam Konstas in the team for the Melbourne and Sydney Tests (IND vs AUS). Now, Australian head coach Andrew McDonald has said that he will play his debut match in the Boxing Day Test. He said, “He understands his game well and is in good shape right now, so he will play on Boxing Day. He has got the opportunity because of his excellent range of shots and ability to put pressure on opponents. We are excited for him because Boxing Day is the biggest stage.”

Will create history in Melbourne

Sam Constas will create history in Test cricket as soon as he enters the Boxing Day Test (IND vs AUS). He will become the fourth youngest player to make his Test debut for Australia. Sam Constas will play his first Test match at the age of 19 years and 85 days. The right-handed batsman has had a brilliant first-class cricket career. He has scored 718 runs in 18 innings of 11 matches at an average of 42.23. During this, two centuries and three half-centuries have come from his bat.
