In the second innings of the Boxing Day Test, Indian batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal was controversially declared out. In the 71st over of India’s innings on the fifth day, Pat Cummins bowled a short ball on the leg stump to the batsman, on which Yashasvi Jaiswal tried to play a pull shot. The ball touched the bat and went close to the gloves and into the gloves of wicketkeeper Alex Carey. After this, Pat Cummins appealed for a catch out. But the field umpire did not show any interest in it and then the Kangaroo captain turned to the third umpire.
Yashasvi Jaiswal missed the century
After the review replay by third umpire Sharafuddaula, Ultra Edge did not show any collision of the ball with the bat or glove. However, the ball was seen moving towards Alex Carey, due to which the field umpire declared Yashasvi Jaiswal out. Then he also talked to the umpire. Despite this, he did not change his decision. He missed converting his half-century into a century. He played an innings of 84 runs in 208 balls. At the same time, now the umpire and Cricket Australia are being trolled a lot on social media.
