India recently played a 5 match test series with Australia. This series lasted for about a month. In which senior players of Team India were seen playing. There were reports in the media that after this test series, senior players may be given a rest in the ODI series against England.

But, before that, BCCI has made its stand clear that it will not discriminate against any senior or junior player. In such a situation, senior players will have to participate in the ODI series against England. There was news about KL Rahul that he could be given rest. But now he has been asked to be ready to play in the ODI series. 

The ODI series will be very important for KL Rahul 

The countdown for the Champions Trophy has begun. Before that, BCCI wants all the players playing red-ball cricket in Australia to be fielded in white-ball cricket. The T20 series may not have any significance. But, the ODI series can prove to be very important for Team India. This series can be taken as a preparation for the Champions Trophy.

In such a situation, KL Rahul has been instructed to play in this series. This intention of the BCCI clearly shows that the selectors have decided to include KL Rahul in the Champions Trophy. At the same time, KL Rahul will also try his best to play against England before the match against Bangladesh on 20 February in Dubai.
