With Gautam Gambhir becoming the head coach, the Indian team is going to play its first ICC tournament. The Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in Dubai and Pakistan from next month. The first match will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand on 19 February, while the final match will be held on 9 March. But before the Champions Trophy begins, the Indian selectors can exclude that player from the team whose selection can prove to be a wrong decision of Gautam Gambhir. Let’s know who is this player.

This player will be eliminated on 12 February!

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the 15-member Team India for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. A few days ago, chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma announced the team. Now news is coming that India can make a big decision regarding the team a few days before the start of the tournament. Actually, as per the instructions of the ICC, changes can be made in the team till February 12. Therefore, it is expected that the Indian team management can exclude a player by selecting whom head coach Gautam Gambhir has made a big mistake.

Did Gautam Gambhir make a wrong decision by choosing?

Indian selectors and head coach Gautam Gambhir have made a big decision by including Jasprit Bumrah in Team India for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 to be played in February. He was injured during the fifth and final match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 played with Australia in Sydney in early January, after which Jasprit Bumrah did not come to bowl a single over. During this time, news came that he may take a long time to recover, after which it is speculated that he may be out of the Champions Trophy.

BCCI secretary gave a big update

A BCCI source was quoted by the Times of India as saying, “The BCCI medical team is in touch with Scouten in New Zealand. The board had also planned Bumrah’s tour of New Zealand, but it has not happened yet. The selectors know that it would be a miracle if Bumrah becomes 100% fit in the stipulated time.” So now Gautam Gambhir is being accused of including Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian team for the Champions Trophy despite the injury. However, according to recent reports, the selectors want to prepare Harshit Rana and Mohammad Siraj as his replacement.
