Bad news has come out for Team India in the fifth match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 being played in Sydney. After the lunch break on the second day, acting captain and star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah got injured, due to which he had to leave the field.

Then he was seen going for a scan with the medical team. In his absence, the responsibility of captaincy fell on the shoulders of Virat Kohli. Since then, fans have been waiting for his health update. But if Jasprit Bumrah’s injury becomes more serious then he may have to be out of the Champions Trophy 2025. 

This player may get a chance 

If Jasprit Bumrah is unable to be a part of the Champions Trophy 2025, then young fast bowler Arshdeep Singh can be included in Team India in his place. The 25-year-old young fast bowler made his ODI debut in the year 2022. Playing eight matches of this format, he has taken 12 wickets. During this, his economy rate has been 5.05. Arshdeep Singh’s performance in limited-overs cricket has been excellent. He has also made a place in the hearts of the audience with his charismatic bowling. 

Had a great performance in T20 World Cup 2024 

Arshdeep Singh’s performance was excellent in the ICC T20 World Cup played in June 2024. He gave India many important successes by wreaking havoc on the opposition team. His performance in the final match was also impressive.
