- Indian team’s vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah has made the Australian media sweat with his statement. He has stated Constas, which is being discussed a lot.
Jasprit Bumrah:
The Indian team had a brilliant performance in the Melbourne Test. After the top and middle order flopped, the tail-end batsmen put up a wonderful partnership and got India out of the danger of follow-on. Nitish Reddy and Washington Sundar put up a 127-run partnership for the 8th wicket to not only get Team India out of the shadow of follow-on but also bring it close to Australia’s 474 runs.
Although India is still 116 runs behind Australia, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Mohammad Siraj returned unbeaten at the end of the third day’s play. On the other hand, India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah made a statement about Constas, which surprised the Australian media and cricket legends.
I am bowling well- Bumrah
Bumrah (Jasprit Bumrah) on Saturday made a statement about 19-year-old Sam Constas, who is making his debut for Australia. This star bowler of India said about Constas that he never felt that he was away from the wicket. He could have got at least 6 to 7 wickets out in the first two overs. While talking to an Australian media, Bumrah further said that,
“I don’t look at things that way. I am bowling really well and the results are in my favour, but I have bowled really well in different matches and this is what happens in cricket, sometimes you get wickets for good bowling, but sometimes it also happens that despite bowling well, you don’t get a single wicket. I have played T20 cricket for more than 12 years and my experience in it has been great.”

Would have got him out 6-7 times in two overs- Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah further said that,
“Constas is an interesting batsman. I never felt I was out of his wicket against him. I felt I could have got him six to seven times in the first two overs I bowled. Sometimes you get a wicket and when you don’t you criticise the same person. I always like to face new challenges.”
After this Bumrah (Jasprit Bumrah) said that I first made my ODI debut in 2016 and after that, I made my Test debut in 2018. Playing in Australia has always been very good and I perform my best here. I get a lot of challenges here because the wickets are flat and the new ball Kookaburra helps the bowlers but later it does not happen.
