  • Before the start of the IND vs AUS Test series, Indian players have had to deal with injuries. After Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan and Shubman Gill, dreaded fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been injured.

Jasprit Bumrah: Before the start of Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, the series of injuries to Indian players continues. Many players have had to deal with injuries during the practice match. Now the name of dreaded fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has also been added to this episode. He got injured while practicing yesterday, which has increased the problems of Team India.

The trumpet for the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 has been blown. The first match will be played in Perth on Friday, 22 November, which will be hosted by the Optus Cricket Stadium. But before the start of the series, Team India’s problems are increasing day by day.

While on one hand there is doubt over captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill playing in the first Test match, on the other hand the series of players getting injured continues. Meanwhile, bad news has also come about Jasprit Bumrah. Actually, on November 20, he practiced batting on the nets, in which he injured himself. 

Big tension for Team India 

According to media reports, when Jasprit Bumrah was batting in the nets, the ball hit his shoulder, after which he was seen screaming in pain. Due to this, physios were called on the field for examination. However, no update has been received regarding his injury yet.

But according to some reports, he completed his practice by staying at the nets. After this, he also got some pictures clicked with the net bowlers. But if Jaspreet Bumrah is out of the Perth Test match, then this will increase the tension of the Indian team. It is reported that captain Rohit Sharma will not be available for the first match. In such a situation, Jaspreet Bumrah will be given the command of the team.

It is worth noting that in the Perth Test match, Jasprit Bumrah will have the responsibility of fast bowling as well as the team on his shoulders. Let us tell you that during the practice, young batsman Shubman Gill suffered an injury on his thumb, due to which he will not be able to be a part of the first match.

But the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not made any official announcement regarding this. Young batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sarfaraz Khan and Virat Kohli,  KL Rahul also suffered injuries while practicing. However, all four players are fully fit to play now.
