Wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan has been out of Team India for a long time. He played his last T20 match for India against Australia in Guwahati in the year 2023. Since then he was dropped from the team and till date he has not been given a chance. There was a dispute between BCCI and him regarding playing domestic cricket, after which he was also dropped from the annual contract by BCCI. Even at present, Ishan is not included in the annual contract of BCCI.

It was made clear by the BCCI that a player who does not play domestic cricket will not be given a place in Team India. Even after this, Ishan Kishan was not seen playing domestic cricket due to some reasons. After which, taking action against him, BCCI also showed him the way out of the annual contract. Now expressing his desire to join Team India, he has said that “I am desperate to return to international cricket”.
