Indian players failed to make a great start to their campaign. In this clash held at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the Pakistani team batted first and set a target of 282 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. In response, India’s (IND vs PAK) innings was bowled out for just 238 runs, due to which it had to face defeat by 43 runs.

After winning the toss, Pakistan (IND vs PAK) captain Saad Baig chose to bat first, which was in the team’s favor. There was a big partnership of 160 runs for the first wicket between Usman Khan and Shahzeb Khan. Both these players scored a lot of runs by thrashing the Indian bowlers. While Usman Khan was out after scoring 60 runs in 94 balls, Shahzeb Khan played a century innings of 159 runs. Mohammad Riyazullah was successful in scoring 27 runs. Apart from these three, no player could score even ten runs. Samarth Nagaraj took 3 wickets for India. Ayush Mhatre took 2 wickets. Yudhajit Guha and Kiran Chormale took one wicket each.

India suffered defeat
Andre Siddharth contributed 15 runs, Captain Mohammad Aman contributed 16 runs, Harvansh Pangalia contributed 26 runs, Hardik Raj contributed 10 runs and Mohammad Anan contributed 30 runs. Yudhajit Guha remained unbeaten on 13 runs. Ali Raza took three wickets for Pakistan. Abdul Subhan and Fahm Ul Haq took 2-2 wickets. Navid Ahmed Khan and Usman Khan took 1-1 wickets. Due to such performance, Team India was all out after scoring 238 runs in 47.1 overs and lost the match (IND vs PAK) by 43 runs. With this, Pakistan achieved its first victory of the tournament and occupied the second position in the points table.
