IND vs NZ: Rachin Ravindra-Dwayne Conway hit half-centuries

New Zealand, who came to bat first after winning the toss, did not have a good start. The team lost captain Tom Latham as their first wicket. He scored 15 runs in 22 balls. Will Young returned to the pavilion after scoring 18 runs. After these two wickets fell, Dwayne Conway shared a 62-run partnership with Rachin Ravindra and handled the innings. After this, Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra jointly scored 59 runs.

Washington Sundar created a ruckus

After this, no big partnership could be formed for the Kiwi team and the team kept losing its wickets at regular intervals. Mitchell Santner played an innings of 33 runs and contributed significantly in taking the team’s score to 259. Tom Blundell (3), Glenn Phillips (9), Tim Southee (5) and Ejaz Patel (4) could not even touch the double digit mark. New Zealand’s wickets went to Indian spinners. Fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep had to return empty handed. Washington Sundar took seven wickets, while Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets.

Rohit Sharma got out without opening his account

The Indian team, which came to start its first innings, did not have a good start either. Shortly before stumps, captain Rohit Sharma lost his wicket without opening his account. Tim Southee sent him back to the pavilion by getting him out for a duck. By the end of the day’s play, Team India scored 16 runs at the loss of 1 wicket. Yashasvi Jaiswal is present at the crease with 6 runs and Shubman Gill with 10 runs. Rohit Sharma’s wisdom – Rohit Sharma very cleverly gave a chance to off-spinner Washington Sundar for this match. Because New Zealand’s team has more left-handed batsmen. His move worked and Sundar took 7 wickets.
