Team India is to tour Bangladesh this year, where a three-match ODI series will be played between the two countries in August 2025. BCCI can appoint Hardik Pandya as the captain for this series. Earlier, Hardik has captained Team India on many occasions and the performance of the team under him has also been tremendous. Earlier, Hardik was the vice-captain of the team in the ODI World Cup 2023 and T20I World Cup 2024, but during Gambhir’s tenure, the vice-captain was taken away from him and Shubman Gill was made the vice-captain, but in the absence of Shubman for the ODI series, Hardik can be entrusted with this big responsibility.

Ishaan-Prithvi will start the innings!

Ishan Kishan may return to the team for the Bangladesh tour. Ishan has been trying his best to return to Team India for a long time, but his return seemed difficult due to the presence of Pant and KL. But BCCI can rest Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul for this tour because, before this series, India has to tour England, where a series of 5 Tests will be played between the two countries. Both KL Rahul and Pant will be seen playing on this tour. After this, they can be rested on the Bangladesh tour and Ishan Kishan can return. Ishan also scored a double century against Bangladesh on its soil.

At the same time, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal can also be seen playing all five Tests against England, due to which they can also be rested for this tour and Prithvi Shaw, who has been looking for a way back in Team India for a long time, can be selected for the Bangladesh tour. Prithvi Shaw can be seen opening the innings in the ODI series against Bangladesh. Earlier, Shaw played his last match for India against Sri Lanka in 2021, after which he was dropped. If Shaw regains his fitness and form before this tour, he can make a comeback.

Team India will tour Bangladesh after 2022

Earlier, India toured Bangladesh in the year 2022, in which both countries played a 3-match ODI series. Then captain Rohit Sharma was leading the team, but Bangladesh defeated India 1-2 in the ODI series. After this, now in 2025, Team India has to tour Bangladesh once again, in which it can take revenge for its old defeat this time. At the same time, BCCI selector Ajit Agarkar can also give a chance to experienced players along with young players in the 15-member team.
