On December 3, a Group E match was played between Mumbai and Services at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. In this, Shivam Dubey performed brilliantly while batting for Mumbai and gave a lesson to the bowlers.

After winning the toss, Services captain Mohit Ahlawat invited Mumbai to bat first. After this, the team did not have a good start. Opener Prithvi Shaw got out without opening the account. Ajinkya Rahane also could not do anything special. In such a situation, captain Shreyas Iyer, who came to bat at number three, could also score only 20 runs. After the top order flopped, Shivam Dubey took charge in the lower order along with Suryakumar Yadav and scored a lot of runs. There was a partnership of 130 runs between the two for the fourth wicket.

Batting at a strike rate of 191.89, Shivam Dubey  scored an unbeaten 71 off 37 balls. During this, he hit two fours and seven sixes. Thanks to his half-century, Mumbai was able to set a target of 193 runs. After this, while bowling, he took a wicket and was the Player of the Match. Let us tell you that before the IPL 2025 mega auction, Chennai Super Kings retained Shivam Dubey by paying Rs 12 crore. At the same time, now with his brilliant performance, he proved the decision of the franchise (CSK) right.
