Pujara has scored 18 centuries and 32 half-centuries for India at this position. But Pujara scored 181 runs in 8 innings of five Tests for India in the year 2023 at an average of just 25.85, due to which he was dropped from the team.

He was successful in scoring only one half-century in these 8 innings, due to which the selectors showed Pujara the way out of Team India. Let us tell you that Pujara (Cheteshwar Pujara) has played a total of 103 Tests for India, in which he has scored 7195 runs in 176 innings at an impressive average of 43.60, in which he has scored 19 centuries and 35 half-centuries.
