The first Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy will be played between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) in Perth on 22 November. For which both the teams have started their preparations. Meanwhile, big news is coming about the new bowling coach. This news is from the Indian Premier League. Before the mega auction, the Delhi Capitals team has appointed India’s fast bowler Munaf Patel as bowling coach. Munaf Patel will be seen in the role of bowling coach for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025. 

 Munaf Patel was part of the 2011 World Cup winning team 

Munaf Patel is considered to be India’s Glenn McGrath. His bowling action is like that of an Australian bowler and he has the ability to bowl accurate yorkers like him. Munaf Patel has troubled the biggest batsmen with his bowling. Let us tell you that India won the ODI World Cup in 2011 by defeating Sri Lanka.

Munaf Patel was a part of that champion team. Talking about his career, Patel has taken 35 wickets in 13 Tests, 86 wickets in 70 ODIs, 4 wickets in 3 T20 Internationals for India, while he has taken 74 wickets in 63 IPL matches.

Delhi retained these 4 players, not Rishabh Pant

Delhi Capitals team has released captain Rishabh Pant before IPL 2025. The franchise has retained only 4 players. In which it was decided to retain Akshar Patel for 16.5 crores, spinner bowler Kuldeep Yadav for 13.25 crores, Stubbs for Rs 10 crore, Abhishek Porel for Rs 4 crore. Delhi Capitals has Rs 73 crore left in its purse before the mega auction.
