Cricket pundits and veterans believe that he could have represented India for a few more years. But that did not happen. But, not only Ashwin, there have been many players in the Indian team whose talent could not be digested by the Cricket Control Board (BCCI) and now they have been forced to retire. Former Indian fast bowler Ajit Agarkar is playing the role of chief selector, but despite that, he is ignoring these three players despite their consistently excellent performance. The first name in this is the Indian team’s star fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He has been out of Team India for a long time. 34-year-old Bhuvneshwar Kumar is taking wickets in domestic tournaments with his swing bowling, but despite this, he is not getting a chance to play in the Indian team.

Bhuvi, who plays domestic tournaments from Uttar Pradesh, performed brilliantly in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 this year. He took 11 wickets in 9 matches. Also, in the shortest format of cricket, he conceded runs sparingly at an economy of just 6.03. If he does not get a place in Team India despite this strong performance, then he may soon announce his retirement.

Bhuvi was last seen playing T20I against New Zealand in November 2022. Since then he has been out of Team India. He has taken 63 wickets in 21 Test matches, 141 wickets in 121 ODIs, and 90 wickets in 87 T20I matches for India so far. His record has been excellent for India but even after this BCCI is not ready to give him another chance in the team.

T Natarajan is not getting opportunities

T Natarajan, who made his international debut in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2021, has been waiting for his turn for a long time. This left-arm fast bowler has played one Test, two ODIs, and four T20Is for India. He played his last ODI on 28 March 2021, since then he has been out of Team India. Natarajan, who plays domestic cricket for Tamil Nadu, could not play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this time due to injury, but his record has been excellent in domestic cricket.

This 33-year-old left-arm fast bowler is being ignored by the BCCI again and again. Let us tell you that he has taken 67 wickets in 21 first-class matches. At the same time, he has taken 32 wickets in 25 List A matches and 104 wickets in 95 T20 matches, but his performance and talent are being ignored again and again. However, it remains to be seen whether he gets a chance to play in the Indian jersey or he will retire without playing.

Drop after scoring a triple-century

Karun Nair, who has played 6 Test matches for India, is also waiting for a call from Team India. He has also scored a triple century against England in 2016, but despite his performance, he was not given many opportunities in the team. Nair played an unbeaten innings of 303 runs facing 381 balls against England in the match played in Chennai, but even after this, he was dropped from Team India. Nair has scored 374 runs in 6 Tests for India. At the same time, he has 46 runs in his name in two ODI matches.

In the recently played Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Karun Nair scored 255 runs in 6 matches at an average of 42.50 and with the help of 3 centuries. During this, his strike rate was 177.08. Despite this performance of 33-year-old Karun Nair, he is being kept out of Team India. He is constantly performing well in domestic cricket, but BCCI is not giving opportunities to this talented player according to his talent. If he remains out of Team India like this, then he will be forced to retire from cricket despite good performance.
