Something similar was seen in the Champions Trophy. Gautam Gambhir did not include him in the squad even after the recommendation of the head coach. But, he has been selected against England. During this, his father Samson Vishwanath gave an interview to a TV channel. During this, he made many revelations and said,
“These people can conspire against my son anytime. I have decided that my son is not safe here. We have never done anything wrong to anyone. My son never stepped out of the ground. He always wanted to play cricket. But now things are not going well for him. That is why I am taking him out of here.”
“I am afraid that these people might defame my son”
There is a dispute going on between Sanju Samson and Kerala Cricket Association regarding something. This is the reason why Sanju did not participate in Ranji. But, the dispute has increased so much that he has decided not to play for the Kerala team. But, Sanju’s father alleges that the Kerala Cricket Board is conspiring to oust his son. Speaking further in the interview, Samson Vishwanath said,
“I request them that if the association gives a chance to my son, I will leave Kerala. But, this place is completely a web of spiders. I am afraid that these people might defame my son.”
At present, from this statement of Samson’s father, it is speculated that maybe he too has decided not to play for the Kerala team. At present, no official statement has come from Sanju on this. But even if he changes the domestic cricket team, it will not be a big deal.
