- Team India’s squad for Champions Trophy 2024 has been revealed. At the same time, these 3 players who flopped in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, Ajit Agar and Rohit Sharma have been shown the way out…
Team India’s squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 has been awaited for a long time. But, after waiting for hours on Saturday, Ajit Agarkar and Rohit Sharma held a joint press conference in Mumbai. During this, the chief selector along with the captain announced the 15-member team. Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, and Shreyas Iyer, who were out for a long time, made a comeback. On the other hand, these players who flopped in the Border Gavaskar Trophy have been shown the way out. Let’s take a look at those players…
1. Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj has suffered a major setback in the Champions Trophy 2025. No one thought that Ajit Agarkar and Rohit Sharma would drop fast bowler Siraj from the squad. His recent performance is being cited as the reason for excluding him. Siraj played 5 Test matches against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. But, he could not make any impact with Bumrah. He just bowled normally. On the other hand, he has not had any special performance in white ball cricket. Due to this Siraj was dropped from the Champions Trophy.

2. Harshit Rana

Harshit Rana was selected for Team India after bowling brilliantly in the IPL. He was selected for the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024 played in Australia. He got a chance to debut in the first Test played in Perth. Rana managed to take 4 wickets in the first Test but proved to be very expensive. Due to this, the captain showed him the way out after playing only 2 Tests. This is the reason why he did not get a chance in the squad of Champions Trophy 2025. Fast bowler Harshit Rana’s dream of playing in the ICC tournament this time remained unfulfilled.
3. Nitish Kumar Reddy

The third and last name in this list is that of all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. Who got a chance to debut in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024? He played an innings of 114 runs in Melbourne. After which he proved to be a flop in 9 innings. While he could not score 10 runs in 3 innings.
Due to this Ajit Agarkar along with captain Rohit Sharma dropped Reddy from the Champions Trophy 2025. Reddy was considered a big candidate to be included in this tournament. But, the selectors ignored him and showed faith in Akshar Patel and Washington Sundar.
