  • Australia’s explosive left-handed batsman Travis Head batted brilliantly in the ODI tournament and scored 230 runs with the help of 28 fours and 8 sixes. Based on his fiery innings, Australia scored a huge score.

Travis Head: Australia’s left-handed West Indies batsman Travis Head scored many runs against the Indian bowlers in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. He emerged as the highest run-scorer in this entire series. But he has also scored a double-century in ODIs.

This dashing batsman batted explosively and scored 230 runs with the help of 28 fours and 8 sixes, after which he became the sixth batsman in the world to score the highest score in ODIs. Head (Travis Head) has achieved this feat in Australia’s domestic ODI tournament, the Marsh Cup. After watching his fiery innings, the entire ground echoed with thunderous applause.

Travis Head, who played attacking batting from the beginning, did this feat in the Marsh Cup on 13 October 2021. In this List A match, Head did wonders by scoring a double century with stormy batting. Travis Head was playing for South Australia in this match, while he did this feat against Queensland.

Head completed his double century in this match in just 114 balls and after facing a total of 127 balls, he scored a total of 230 runs. His innings included 28 fours as well as 8 towering sixes. In this match, Head thrashed Queensland bowlers at a strike rate of 181.10.

South Australia set a mountainous target

South Australia lost their first wicket in the form of Alex Carey at just 22. After this, Head (Travis Head) who came to bat at number three started thrashing Queensland bowlers from the very first ball. Batting first based on this aggressive innings of Head, South Australia put 391 runs on the scoreboard by losing 8 wickets in 48 overs in this rain-affected match.

Queensland’s team which came to chase the target of 392 runs collapsed at 312 runs in 40.3 overs and South Australia won this explosive match by 67 runs. Travis Head was given the Player of the Match for his special innings. Let us tell you that Travis Head is the first batsman in the world to score the fastest double century in List A.
