Afghanistan gave responsibility to a veteran player for Champions Trophy 2025
Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan has been appointed as the mentor of the Afghanistan cricket team for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) confirmed this on Wednesday. Younis has previously been Afghanistan’s batting coach in 2022.
ACB spokesperson Saeed Naseem Sadat said, “The ACB has appointed former experienced top-ranked Pakistani player Younis Khan as a mentor for the Champions Trophy 2025. He (Younis) will join the team before the start of the tournament in Pakistan.”
