The Sydney Test between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) will start on December 3, while Australia has announced its playing eleven on December 2. One change has been made in the team. Mitchell Marsh was dropped after his poor form, while all-rounder Beau Webster will make his debut in his place. He will become the 469th player to play a Test for Australia.

All-rounder Beau Webster had a great domestic season, after which he was included in the squad for the Test series against India but he was waiting for his debut. Now the time has come when Beau will take the field to play his first Test for his country.

Marsh’s poor form continues

Mitchell Marsh has not been able to show the magic he is known for in the Test series against India. So far, he has scored only 73 runs in four matches at an average of 10.42. He has also been lackluster in bowling, taking only three wickets in the crucial match against India (IND vs AUS).

This big step has been taken given his poor performance. Australia captain Pat Cummins said about Marsh that so far he has not been able to perform at the level we expected from him in this series. Now the time has come for us to make some changes in the team. Cummins said that Beau’s domestic performance has been excellent. However, we all know how much Mitchy brings to the team.

Beau’s domestic performance was excellent

Beau Webster, who will make his Test debut for Australia (IND vs AUS), plays domestic matches for the Sheffield Shield. He has impressed everyone with his bowling and batting last season. Beau scored 938 runs with an excellent average of 58.62, while he also took 30 wickets in bowling. Before him in the history of the Shield, only Sir Gary Sobers was successful in achieving this feat, who had scored more than 900 runs and taken more than 30 wickets in a single season. Beau’s figures have been quite amazing this season as well.

He has scored 303 runs in 4 matches this season with an excellent average of 50.50, in which he has scored a century and a half-century. Apart from this, he has taken 9 wickets in bowling with an excellent average of 37.88. Beau took 6 wickets for just 17 runs in the 50-over match of Dean Jones Trophy for Tasmania. Whereas against India A team, he scored 145 runs along with 7 wickets in the four-day match. Looking at these figures, he has been included in the final eleven for the Sydney Test.
