Indian team captain Rohit Sharma was injured during practice on Saturday. The captain suffered an injury to his left knee during the throw-down session. After this, he did not practice. Now two days are left for the Melbourne Test to begin, but before that, there has been no update on Rohit’s injury. Physiotherapists are treating him.

Indian team’s fast bowler Akash Deep had informed about captain Rohit Sharma’s injury in the press conference that his injury is not serious but Akash Deep did not comment on whether he will play or not. On the other hand, captain Rohit Sharma himself came for the press conference. He gave an update and said that his knee injury was fine and he was completely fit.

Captain not in form

In the longest format of cricket, Indian captain Rohit Sharma is not scoring any runs at all. Due to being out of form, he had to change his batting order and Rohit, who was playing as an opening batsman, is now batting at number 6 in this tour. It was believed that Rohit would score big runs at this number.

But his poor form is not leaving him. The captain has scored just 19 runs in three innings of two Tests in this series so far. His average during this period was 6.33. You will be surprised to know that Jaspreet Bumrah (20 runs) has scored more runs than Rohit Sharma in this series.

KL Rahul is also injured

Team India’s problems are not reducing. Apart from captain Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, who is playing as an opening batsman in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, also got injured during practice. KL suffered a hand injury. KL is the only batsman in this series whose bat has produced runs.

However, the news is that KL’s injury is not very serious and he will be seen opening the Indian innings in the Melbourne Test. KL has impressed everyone in this series so far. His bat has produced 235 runs in 6 innings of 3 Tests. During this, he also played two half-century innings.
