Fans were getting big shocks one after the other, and one more shock was yet to come. When on 24 August, left-handed opener Shikhar Dhawan also retired from international cricket. Dhawan used to score a lot of runs for India in ICC events, but after being out of the team for a long time, he decided to retire. Saha also retired

One by one all the star players were retiring, but the fans got a big shock when wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha also announced his retirement from international cricket just before the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. This dashing player for Bengal has represented the team in 40 Tests and 9 ODIs for India.
