Team India is currently playing a 5-match Test series in Australia. The last match of which will be played on 3rd January. After this series, the West Indies team is to tour India. During this time, a 3-match ODI series will be played between the two teams. In which senior players can be given rest. While young players who have left a deep mark in domestic cricket can get a chance to join the Indian squad. Let’s take a look at India’s possible squad before this tour… 

Jadeja- Shubman can get the command of Team India 

According to the Future Tour Plan (FTP), the West Indies team is to tour India for a 3-match ODI series. This series will take place in the year 2026. The first match of this series can be played in September. If media reports are to be believed, many senior players including captain Rohit Sharma can be given rest in this series. While the chief selector can form a new team.

If Rohit is given rest, Ravindra Jadeja can be chosen as the captain of the ODI team. He has captained Chennai in the IPL. Shubman Gill, who captained India in T20 this year, can be seen playing the role of vice-captain in ODIs. Both the players are fully matured for captaincy.

BCCI has prepared a very strong and good domestic system. Due to which young talent is emerging. There is a long queue of young players playing for India who have been dreaming of playing in Team India’s jersey for a long time.

In such a situation, the strong batsmen Shakib Ghani, Priyans Arya, Urvis Patel, Shreyas Gopal, Jagjit Singh, Kumar Karthikeya, who have left a deep impression with their performance in domestic cricket, can be included in the squad.
