There is no doubt that as difficult as it is to make a debut for Team India, it is much more difficult for players to make a comeback after being dropped from the team. Such is the story of Indian fast bowler Mohit Sharma .

Mohit Sharma, who made his debut for India in 2013, was dropped from the team after 2 years. Mohit is one of those players whose career suddenly came into the limelight and progressed rapidly, but then suddenly it came to a halt.  Despite not getting a place in the team for the last 10 years, Mohit Sharma is working hard to get a place in the Indian team.

There was a surprise entry in the World Cup 2015

Mohit Sharma made his debut for Team India against Zimbabwe in 2013. This debut was like a dream come true for him. In his first match, Mohit bowled 3 maidens in 0 overs and took 2 wickets for 26 runs and became the man of the match. After this, he was made a part of the Indian team in the 2014 T20 World Cup and the very next year Mohit Sharma made a surprise entry in the World Cup 2015.

Just before the tournament, bowler  Ishant Sharma got injured, after which MS Dhoni gave Mohit a chance. In his very first World Cup, Mohit impressed everyone by taking 13 wickets in 8 matches. However, India could not win the World Cup and after a few matches, Mohit Sharma’s career also came to an end.

Mohit Sharma may announce his retirement soon

Even though Team India ‘s star bowler Mohit Sharma is hopeful of making a comeback, it is nothing short of a miracle for him to do so. It is not easy for him to compete with his increasing age, form and the form of young players.

He will definitely be seen playing for Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2025, but perhaps his international career will end with this season and he may announce retirement at any time. Mohit has played a total of 26 ODIs and 8 T20 International matches for Team India. During this, he took 31 wickets in ODIs and 6 wickets in T20s .
