Former Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi has recently made serious allegations against former BCCI secretary and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) owner N Srinivasan in a podcast. It has been claimed that Srinivasan was appointing Chennai umpires in Chennai’s matches in the Indian Premier League. Not only this, Lalit Modi has also made a shocking revelation in the sports world that fixing was done for Andrew Flintoff in the IPL auction.
“Srinivasan did not like IPL”- Lalit Modi
Lalit Modi recently made many shocking revelations while talking to YouTube channel Raj Shamni. While talking, he said,
N Srinivasan (CSK owner) did not like IPL. He did not think IPL would be successful, but when IPL got a tremendous response, everyone joined it. He was also a board member and secretary, so he was my biggest rival. When I raised my voice against him, he did many things, match fixing.

1. Srini anyhow wanted Flintoff in CSK. He was BCCI Sec. We asked all other teams not to bid for him.
2. Srini changed the umpires. He appointed Chennai Umpires in the matches of Chennai Super Kings🤯

“Umpires appointed in the match”- Lalit Modi
Lalit Modi said,
“I didn’t think anything of it. But later I found out that they were appointing Chennai umpires to officiate in CSK matches against Chennai Super Kings, which was a problem for me. This is called fixing, so when I tried to expose the matter, they completely turned against me.”
There was a fixing to buy Andrew Flintoff
Lalit Modi also accused Srinivasan of bid-fixing for England’s Andrew Flintoff. He said,
He told every other team not to bid for the player (Andrew Flintoff). Modi said that he wanted Flintoff in Chennai Super Kings (CSK), but Srinivasan wanted to show that he had been bought in the team in the auction itself. I allowed Flintoff to be auctioned by Srinivasan. Yes, we did that. There is no doubt, every team was aware of this. Srinivasan was not allowing the IPL to start, he was a big obstacle. So I told everyone not to bid for Andrew Flintoff.
Let us tell you that these allegations are very serious. If BCCI takes any action on this and sets up an investigation committee, then it will create a problem for Chennai. Earlier also CSK has faced a ban of 2 years in the case of fixing. If this happens again, then it will prove to be a big shock not only for the franchise but also for the fans.
