  • Yashasvi Jaiswal: Team India’s star batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal has made a big bang in the second innings of the Perth Test against Australia and has made a world record in his name.

Yashasvi Jaiswal: The first match being played between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) at Perth’s Optus Stadium has reached a thrilling stage. After being all out for 150 runs in the first innings, Team India has scored 172 runs without losing any wicket in their second innings till the end of the second day’s play . Indian team’s star batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal is close to a century. He is present at the crease after scoring 90 runs. With this innings, he has achieved a special feat. Even big batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have not been able to reach this milestone.

Yashasvi has broken the record of hitting the most sixes in a calendar year. Earlier this record was in the name of former New Zealand captain and legendary batsman Brendon McCullum. In the year 2014 
, Brendon McCullum wreaked havoc with the bat and hit 33 
sixes. Since then this record of Test cricket was unbroken, which was broken by Jaiswal against Australia. Let us tell you that Yashasvi Jaiswal has hit a total of 34 sixes so far in 2024.

Yashasvi not only broke Brendon McCullum’s record in the second innings of the Perth Test against Australia but also left England’s star batsman Joe Root behind in one matter. Jaiswal has become the batsman to score the most half-centuries in Test cricket in 2024. This was Yashasvi’s 10th score of more than fifty this year, while Root had achieved this feat 9 times this year.
