Team India is currently participating in the Border Gavaskar Trophy on a tour of Australia. Keeping in mind the World Test Championship final (WTC final), this series is considered very important for Team India. Team India will become a part of the final as soon as it wins this series and will not face Australia in the World Test Championship final (WTC final). Team India will face a weak team which will be very easy to defeat. Let us tell you how the equations are being made regarding the final….

WTC final will be held at Lord’s

It was announced by the ICC that the final (WTC final) of the third session of the World Test Championship will be played at Lord’s ground between 11 and 15 June. Team India had made it to the finals (WTC final) of the two sessions held earlier but could not win even once. This time too, Team India’s dominance has been seen. If the Indian team secures a place in the final by defeating Australia in the series, then it will face a weak team.

How are the equations for the WTC Final?

Team India

To qualify for the World Test Championship Final (WTC final), Team India will have to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy at least 4-0. If Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, manages to achieve this feat, then its place in the final will be confirmed.  On the other hand, Australia will suffer a big blow with this defeat and its dream of playing the final (WTC final) for the second time will be shattered. With this, Sri Lanka is also fully in this race.

Sri Lanka still has to play two test series to reach the final, one of which is at home and the other in South Africa. The Lankan team has to face Australia at home, seeing the way Sri Lanka is in great form at the moment and the way it defeated a team like New Zealand at home, it can be said that it can trap the Kangaroo team in its spin. If Australia loses here too, then it is certain to be out of the final, while Sri Lanka will have to at least finish the series against Africa on a 1-1 draw.

The final will be between Sri Lanka and India!

The Sri Lankan team is also continuously in the race to make it to the World Test Championship final (WTC final). Sri Lanka still has two series left. In which the Sri Lankan team has to play two matches against South Africa and two matches against Australia, if they win these four matches then their place in the final will be confirmed.

In such a situation, the final of the World Test Championship will be played between India and Sri Lanka. If this happens, then India under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma will have a great opportunity to lift this trophy. With this, this will be the first time when the final of the World Test Championship will be played between two Asian teams.
