IND vs SL:

Sri Lanka has scored 161 runs against India in the second T20 match. Kusal Perera scored the most runs for Sri Lanka, scoring 53 runs in 34 balls. Sri Lanka had scored 130 runs in 15 overs, but in the last 5 overs, the Indian bowlers made a strong comeback and stopped the host team below the score of 170. Meanwhile, Ravi Bishnoi was the highest wicket-taker for India, who took 3 wickets for 26 runs in his 4-over spell.

India won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to bat first. However, Arshdeep Singh gave India a good start by taking the wicket of Kusal Mendis in the fourth over, due to which Sri Lanka’s score became 26 runs for one wicket. After that, there was an important partnership of 54 runs between Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Perera, but in the 10th over, Nissanka was out after scoring 32 runs.

Even after the second wicket fell, the host team did not weaken because Kusal Perera and Kamindu Mendis together added 50 runs and took the team’s score beyond 100. Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan team was on the backfoot after the wickets of Kusal Perera and Kamindu Mendis fell in the same over.

India made a strong comeback in the last 5 overs

At one point, the Sri Lankan team had scored 130 runs for the loss of two wickets in 15 overs. Looking at the way Kusal Perera and Kamindu Mendis were batting, it could be said that Sri Lanka could reach 180-190 runs.

But in the 16th over, Hardik Pandya gave a double blow to the host team by sending Mendis and then Perera to the pavilion. In the very next over, Ravi Bishnoi took the wickets of Dasun Shanaka and Wanindu Hasaranga in 2 consecutive balls, but missed out on taking a hat-trick.

Indian bowlers have restricted Sri Lanka to a score of 161 runs by giving just 31 runs in the death overs. Ravi Bishnoi took 3 wickets, while Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh also took two wickets each.

Hardik Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi Star in India’s Dominating Performance

India’s bowling unit delivered a clinical performance to restrict Sri Lanka to a below-par total of 162 runs in the second T20I. The hosts, batting first, struggled to build substantial partnerships as the Indian bowlers kept them under constant pressure.

The standout performers for India were Hardik Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi, who wreaked havoc in the middle overs. Pandya’s ability to extract bounce and movement made life difficult for the Sri Lankan batsmen, while Bishnoi’s guile and accuracy proved too much for the opposition.

Despite a few cameos, Sri Lanka found it challenging to accelerate, and the Indian bowlers kept them in check throughout the innings. The target of 162, while not insurmountable, is certainly defendable, and India will be confident of chasing it down comfortably.

The match was interrupted by rain, leading to a revised target for India. However, the early dominance with the ball has put the hosts in a strong position.

All-rounder Stars Again as India Cruises Towards Victory

Hardik Pandya once again showcased his immense talent as an all-rounder, playing a crucial role in India’s dominant performance against Sri Lanka. After contributing significantly with the ball, picking up crucial wickets, Pandya came to the crease with India needing a steady hand to guide the chase.

The all-rounder displayed his power-hitting prowess, smashing 22 runs off just 9 balls, including three boundaries and a six. His strike rate of 244.44 reflects his aggressive intent and ability to finish games in style. Pandya’s cameo ensured that India maintained a high scoring rate and kept the scoreboard ticking over.

The all-rounder’s contribution with both bat and ball makes him an invaluable asset to the Indian team. His ability to perform under pressure and deliver match-winning performances sets him apart as one of the best all-rounders in the world.
