With this win, Spain became the most successful team in the history of Euro Cup. In the 2024 final, Spain defeated England 2-1 to win the trophy. The final match was very exciting. The winning goal was scored at the very end of the match, otherwise the match was heading towards a penalty shootout. 

With this victory, Spain won the Euro Cup title for the fourth time, which is the most titles for any team in the tournament. In this way, Spain became the most successful team of the tournament. However, Spain got victory in the Euro Cup after 12 years. On the other hand, England once again missed out on winning its first title. Earlier, England had to face defeat in the Euro Cup final played in 2020. In the 2020 tournament, Italy defeated England in a penalty shootout. In this way, even after playing two consecutive finals, England could not win the title.

Spain eventually took the lead and won

The match was tied at 1-1 and for a moment it seemed that like 2020, this time too there would be a penalty shootout in the final, but it did not happen. In the 86th minute of the match, Spain scored the second goal and took the lead. Oyarzabal scored the second and winning goal for Spain. From here England fell behind and eventually had to face defeat. Although after 90 minutes, 4 minutes of extra time was also given, but England failed to score a goal in that too.
