Virat Kohli: The 8th match of IPL 2025 is currently being played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chepauk Stadium. In this match, the old avatar of former RCB captain Virat Kohli was once again seen by his fans.

In this closely contested match, Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Mathesh Pathirana threw a deadly bouncer to Virat Kohli, which hit Virat’s helmet directly. He tries to play a pull on this ball coming at the speed of a bullet, but the ball misses and hits his helmet. After this, on the very next ball, Kohli gives a befitting reply to Junior Malinga in his familiar style.

Kohli gave a befitting reply

22-year-old young fast bowler Mathisha Pathirana shows some aggression by hitting a ball on the helmet of aggressive Virat Kohli in the 11th over of the innings. After the ball hit Kohli’s helmet, the physio was called, but he was fine. After this, Pathirana would have hit a bouncer to Kohli on the next ball as well, but this time, Virat was standing alert and played a pull shot on Pathirana’s short off ball and hit a brilliant six towards fine leg.

After this, Kohli was seen saying something after hitting a six on Pathirana’s ball, and after this, he hit a four on the third ball as well. This time,e Pathirana threw a full-length ball to Kohli instead of a bouncer, on which he used his wrists to flick over mid-wicket and collected four runs.

Kohli was seen struggling

Virat Kohli, who played brilliant innings of 59 not out off 36 balls against KKR, was seen struggling against the Chennai bowlers this time. Kohli was seen batting very slowly in the power play, the effect of which was seen on Phil Salt and then Devdutt Padikkal. Kohli had faced 22 balls after the end of 10 overs, in which he could score only 16 runs.

However, he tried to pick up the pace by hitting a four and a six against Pathirana, but in the 13th over, while trying to play a big shot, he was caught by Rachin Ravindra at deep midwicket. Kohli scored 31 runs off 30 balls before getting out. During this time, his strike rate was only 103.33.
