After winning the Player of the Match title in the IND vs BAN match, Shubman Gill revealed that when India’s wickets started falling, he got a special message from the dressing room. He said,

“It was definitely one of my best hundreds. This is my first century in an ICC tournament. I am very happy. The pitch was not easy. Initially, the ball outside off-stump was not coming on to the bat. So I tried to use the crease against the fast bowlers and play the ball over the circle. Then when the spinners came, Kohli and I talked about how it was not easy to take singles on the front foot, so I focused on playing on the back foot.”
